DJI3 Osmo at E&N Okotoks Powerline Xing

E&N Xing at Okotoks Powerline We walked 4½km along the E&N tracks from Shawnigan Lake Rd. Xing to Okotoks Powerline Xing.
Every road off Okotoks roads are marked as PRIVATE as are all E&N road Xings. Strange.
When it comes down to it the E&N railway itself is PRIVATE.
Soon enough the E&N RoW will be gone, but we're going to keep on enjoying it as long as possible.

Jordie Lunn Memorial Bike Park Langford

Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse Thursday morning I drove the Benz to Langford BC and walked a Jordie Lunn Bike Park Trail.
It was early so I pretty much had the place to myself.
Afterward, I put the drone up over Westhills Housing Development and put the drone up.

Walked Haultain/Adanac Connector with DJI Camara

Hospital Footpath from Haultain Rd.
Tuesday morning I walked the 100metres (110yards) from Haultain Rd. thru to Jubilee Hospital at Adanac St.
It's a shortcut used mainly by hospital staff but I've used it a few time on foot and by bike.
It's single-track dirt trail when it's dry and mud when it's wet.
My usual gimbal mounted video camera (Yuneec CGO3 SteadyGrip) was not serviceable so I used my backup gimbal camera — DJImini 2 drone video camera.
It remains perfectly steady when mounted on the drone and airborne but only does an acceptable job when handheld (by me). It is what it is.
BTW The whole purpose of a gimbal mount is to eliminate any movement caused by any motion of the camera body.

Easter Sunday I walked a 3800m loop over Mt. Tolmie

View From the Top Easter Sunday I walked a 3800m loop over Mt. Tolmie and thru the University of Victoria back home
I put the DJImini 2 up from the mountain side and looked at the construction on Glastonbury Rd.
This walk gets more enervating each time I walk it.
Maybe my mountain climbing days are over.
Anyway, it certainly is wonderful weather for outdoor activities at 13°C (55°F).
Jesus Christ is risen! Amen.

DJI Mini 2 Views from Gravity Zone Summit

Langford Gravity Zone Pilot Drone Views Langford Gravity Zone Summit VIDEO Friday morning I drove the 30km to Langford Gravity Zone again.
This time I climbed the shorter route from Viewtop Trail Connector.
It was about 15 minutes up and ten minutes down.
The DJI Mini 2 did a good job of capturing video of the surrounding area from the summit in spite of the strong winds.
Anyway, I said “I be baak” — and I was.

Westhills Watertanks

Langford Westhills Housing watertanks Sunday morning I drove 25km to Langford, BC and put the DJImini2 up over Westhills' housing development.
It seems they added another watertank and the mystery development atop The Wall turns out to be a soccer pitch.

Haro Woods Park signboard Thursday morning I cycled up to Haro Woods Park to see how my DJImini2 drone and camera would work as a handheld gimbal for recording smooth, walking videos.
> It did quite well, considering it's the best camera I now have for this type of photography and believe me I've tried them all.
One of the best features for me is to get clear, crisp screenshots from the video frames. They look good to me.

Sidney Spit Boat Ride

Sidney Island Campers Saturday morning I drove to Sidney-by-the-Sea to take a boat ride to Sidney Island.
That be aboard the 40ft. MV Sallas operated by Sidney Spit Ferry.
After taking copious amounts of photographs and GoPro videos from its chestcam mount I was able to cobble together a YouTube production showing everything there is to know about this experience.
It was a fine outing and well worth the $18CND for the boat ride and $11CND for Port of Sidney Marina parking.
It's been 15 years since we both visited here but won't be that long until the next time.

Hiked Stewart Mt. Road Trail and Put DJI Mini 2 Up

Stewart Mountain Road parking & trailhead After viewing the Stewart Mountain Road Trailhead access in Alltrails' phone app I thought it prudent drive out and take a look.
Once seeing where to park from Google.streetviews I was on the trail by 8:30a.m. and walk in 700m (½mile).
Ahead of this location the trail rose what appeared to be between 200-300metre's gain.
Mountain climbing was not in this day's plan so I put the drone up instead.

Walked Parker Beach and Put Drone Up

Mansion on the Cliff Some often wonder when out walking — what's over the next hill?
I wonder what's on top the steep cliffs while walking along Vancouver Island beaches.
That's what drones are for.
Most 15 to 50 million dollar homes along Victoria's waterfront have no public access.
Therefore, one needs a drone Sayward Beach Homes Drone DJI Mini 2

Westhills Development Water Tank

The Watertank Sunday morning I put the DJI Mini2 up over Langford's new water tank.
It look like it may be the first of three at this location.

Regarding the clearcuts and all the houses being built here in Westhills, perhaps this is the best example (evidence?) to support the WEF's dictum of no more single-family dwellings.

You liked the photos you'll love the VIDEO — and the music.

DJI Mini Flight Tuesday march 15 (not 16)

West Shore Parkway Wall Tuesday morning I drove out to Langford BC and put the DJI Mini 2 quadcopter up over Kettle Creek Station housing development.
It was a grand day at a balmy 12°C. — sunshine and no wind.
The launch site was beside Landing Lane which is the access road to Langford Lake boatramp.
Who owns this building is still a mystery but my people are all over finding out.
